Welcome to ITCU

InTouch Credit Union is a not-for-profit community credit union with branches in three states: Texas, Nevada, and Michigan. While our charter was originally granted in 1974 to serve Electronic Data Systems (EDS) employees, ITCU now serves 81,508 members across the U.S. as well as more than 20 countries around the world, and encompasses assets of $850,958,017. Please review our eligibility requirements if you’d like to join our credit union and become a fellow, equal member-owner. ITCU - Historical Notes of Interest

InTouch Credit Union has a long history of serving our member-owners. While we began in the 1970s with a limited charter, our membership has grown significantly in the decades since. We have shifted from a federal to state-chartered credit union, becoming a community credit union that serves the financial needs of even more members. 

1974
Electronic Data Systems Corporation submitted an application to the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) for a charter to form a federal credit union. Mr. Thomas D. Behne, President, E.D.S. Employees Federal Credit Union (EDSEFCU) received a letter from the NCUA granting Charter No. 21663
1984
At the end of its first decade, EDSEFCU had more than $20 million in assets and were among the top 15 percentile of largest credit unions in the country
2002
EDSEFCU became a Texas state-chartered credit union under Charter No. 68505 as EDS Credit Union (EDSCU)
2009
EDSCU merged in First American Federal Credit Union & acquired the members and deposits of Ensign Federal Credit Union
2010
EDSCU is rebranded as InTouch Credit Union (ITCU)
2013
Dr Pepper Employees Federal Credit Union becomes part of ITCU
2014
Hospitality Federal Credit Union becomes part of ITCU
2015
Members of New Mount Zion Credit Union become part of ITCU
2020
ITCU has branches in three states and serves more than 90,000 members
