Helpful Refer-a-Friend FAQs

Q.  Is there a limit on how many referrals I can make?

A. We would love for you to share with as many eligible family and friends, as possible. However, please note that your referral incentive earnings are limited to $599.

Q.  How and where are my incentives received?

A. All earned incentives will be paid out in the form of a virtual Mastercard® gift card. These will be issued to your provided email address.

Q.  How do I check on the status of my rewards?

A. You may check on the status of your referrals at any time. You’ll see a link on the Welcome email you’ll receive called “My Stats”, and by clicking on that link and filling in your email address, you’ll receive an update email.

By opting in to receive messages (small checkbox by the email entry space above), you’ll receive follow-up communications from our partner, Extole, regarding the status of your referrals.

 

Q. What if I don’t receive my shareable link?

A. First, check your spam/junk folder for the Welcome email you’ll receive after making your referral. If you’re unable to locate it, return to the share experience on the landing page and enter your email again. You'll get the same share link that way.

Q. Will I receive my reward if the person I refer doesn’t successfully become a member/open an eligible checking account or meet the direct deposit/debit card transaction requirements?

A. Unfortunately, no. The gift card incentives will only be paid if the referred party successfully meets all of the eligibility requirements.

Q. What if multiple members refer the same person?

A. Each new member referral incentive is awarded once to the person making the referral (current member) and once to the new member that followed all of the new account requirements. The unique shared link used by the new member referral will determine which referral (current member) will earn the gift card.

Q. Do potential referrals include minor (under 18) accounts or business accounts?

A. No. The program does not include non-adult, non-consumer (business) accounts. Minors are not eligible to earn a referral incentive as a referring member or new account holder.

Referred contact will have 30 calendar days from the date of account opening to set up direct deposit or complete 10 transactions. (^Referred member’s new checking account must begin receiving a direct deposit of at least $1,000 within 30 days of opening the account.
